Wokingham Modern Garden Design with Garden Room

This garden needed greater depth and interest to encourage exploration and create inviting spaces for relaxation. With the addition of a new garden room, it was important that the existing garden flowed seamlessly into this new area, creating a cohesive journey through the space.

A key aim of the design was to give the garden room a natural place within the landscape, allowing it to feel settled and connected to the garden rather than becoming its sole focus. New curved borders were introduced to add shape and movement, making the garden feel larger while creating a series of distinct yet connected areas to sit, unwind and enjoy the garden from different perspectives.

The client wanted the planting to feel fresh, contemporary and full of seasonal interest. A carefully considered palette of perennials and grasses provides long-lasting colour throughout summer, combined with contrasting forms and textures that bring a light, naturalistic quality to the scheme. Structured evergreen planting helps define the different spaces, reinforces the garden's curves and provides year-round framework and interest.
